Do you use a wet eye liner or a pencil to outline your upper eye lid?

Which is better and what do you prefer?Do you use a wet eye liner or a pencil to outline your upper eye lid?
you can use both but i would reccomend using a liquid because it makes your eye look more defined and blacker and if you use a pencil it could smudge or melt more easily :)

hope i helped!Do you use a wet eye liner or a pencil to outline your upper eye lid?
you can use either

its really what you like

personally i use liquid for me it's a lot easier to use and it makes it easier for me to get close to my lash line

but really it's all just personal preference

neither is better than the other

well i guess the pencil might be a little better because you don't need to wait for it to dry lol

but yeah i like liquid eyeliner
I use both but sometimes it depends on which look I want to achieve:

I use pencil when I want more of a smoky look cuz it's more easy to smudge. When I want a more dramatic and 'full-on,' I go for liquid, cuz it's more intense.
It depends on what look your going for/personal preference.

Liquid liner is harsher. If you want your eyes to look more dramatic, then i suggest liquid. If you're going for a softer, more natural look, then pencil :)
I use both pencil and liquid but I've mostly moved onto liquid now, just because it usually doesn't fade or move around as much.
My wife does facials for a living. She sells avon products for the ladies she gives advice to. contact her at llk3500@yahoo.com. she loves helping. or her website www.youravon.com/laceybeard Good luck!
Either

check out these different ways of doing:

Definately Liquid, its easier and doesnt look smudgy :)
i use liquid eye liner on both it stayes on longer and gives a more dramatic look if you use thicker lines. and no smudges!
pencil will get a darker, fuller look so that is what i prefer

Can I use eye liner pencil on my eyebrows?

What do you girls think is the best black eye liner to use on an everyday basis?

Revlon liqiud eyeliner,it goes on very percise and the color is very dark black.Sometimes when I use back eyeliner, it has a tendency to become lighter over the period of a day. This always happens with eye pencils ,I hate that. What do you girls think is the best black eye liner to use on an everyday basis?
Any kind that you find at Sephora! What do you girls think is the best black eye liner to use on an everyday basis?
i think the cheaper the better because when i forget i'm wearing it a smear it the cheap stuff comes right off and the mores expensive stuff will make me look like a have a black eye i wear more expensive stuff when i going out and the chance of me rubbing my eyes is less likely.

How can I get my dad to let me use mascara and eye liner?

My dad says it's not good and that it's stupid. How can I get my dad to let me use mascara and eye liner? How can I get my dad to let me use mascara and eye liner?
hm. i myself was not to great with that. i used to live with just my dad and my brother so i was a total tomboy then i grew up and wanted to start wearing makeup. my dad was very clear on his views of me wearing makeup even if he never directly said anything. so when we went to the store i just bought it myself, put the mascara on at home cuz they couldnt tell the difference and i put a lil bit of eyeliner on at school cuz i got there early.

when i moved to my moms she said she didnt care if i wore makeup as long as i didnt look like a h00ker. so she bought all of it for me. i would suggest talking to an aunt or godmother if your mom is not available.

hope this helped! and good luck with it!How can I get my dad to let me use mascara and eye liner?
How old are you, maybe he's thinking you're a little too young to start wearing make-up. It could also be for protective reasons like he doesn't want you to hang out with the wrong crowd and do things like them. Like the ';b1tchy'; crowd that wears a ton of make-up and stuff. Well what you can do he sit down and clearly ask him why you can't wear it to begin with. Also explain to him that girls are girls and they will be girls. And girls - most of them, like to wear a little make-up to spark themselves up a little. So the best thing I can suggest is talk to him about it and make everything crystal clear. And before you do wear it - if you're at a young age. Think about it first, do you really need to wear mascara and eyeliner? And that maybe you could start when you're at a more older age because when you're young girls are usually very natural and are good looking enough and are not hideous that they need to hide themselves with make-up. So maybe he probably thinks that you don't need it.
pretty stupid. %26gt;.%26lt; [no offense]

but i'm like 13, and i started wearing mascara and eyeliner last summer.

it really doesnt do any harm, but make you look better, CAUSE EVERYONE LOOKS BETTER WITH EYELINERR!!!%26lt;3 lol. :]

whatever you do, dont use bronzers or stuff you actually need to apply on your face; it clogs up your pores, and stuff like that. it's like EW.

:/

but anyway, either beg, or buy mascara and eyeliner and makeup remover at a store; and put it on and take it off at school. :)

andd uhmm; i'd use maybellene eyeliner; and covergirl mascara. :)

the maybellene eyeliner works really well, and doesnt smudge so much. :]

YOU'RE WELCOMEE. :D
Get clear mascara!!!! Me and my bff use it and my dad doesnt know and her dad doesnt care but i personaly dont like eyeliner so just get clear mascara because it puts your lashes in place and makes them look better and if u use color it gets clumpy! Go to Sephora and get clear mascara. ( It doesnt even hurt when it gets in your eyes!!)
well, theres actually no logical way that could really persuade him to allow you to wear it. I mean, theres no positives to it, other than it looks good on you. But that won't help, would it? (:

just..

try telling him that many people your age wear it, and whenever you see people your age wearing it, point that out to him.

and if people your age DON'T wear it.. then you honestly have no chance. (:

OH, or maybe you can tell him, that it allows you to become more confident? i don't know. be creative. think of what he would think.
slowly by slowly wear thin eyeliner and then keep adding more weekly. but not too much.

then slowly start putting on defining mascara, and gradually get to putting on thicker eyeliner.

i just made that up right now. i never needed permission because i started makeup at the end of eight grade.

do at your own risk
def depends how old you are if your in higghschool and he wont let you then you need to explain to him abt how everyone does it and its normal and youll look better n be more confident and then youll do better in school and stuf exagerated i kno but it might help u lol and if it doesnt work just put it on at school and hell never kno
Talk to it with him.

Tell him that its important to you and give him reasons.

Try to not go against him but, together, work something out that suits both of you.

Like for me, I wasn't allowed to wear it to school so I made a deal with him and said I would only wear it on the weekends. =D

Good Luck!~
Well it all depends on your age. But I know alot of kids that are in like 3rd grade that wears that. Just say that you and your friends really want to be a like so sit down and explain to him that you won't go over board on it and it won't look bad!

Hope this helps
Really depends how old you are. Really though i wouldnt have much problem with my daughters wearing that-they always have messed around with make-up since they have been very little girls along with all of their girl cousins and friends. Its no big deal to me.
How old are you? You don't need his permission. Put it on in the bathroom at school. Wipe it off before you come home with eye make up remover. You can get the remover at any drug store beauty section.
maybe you can get him to let you wear it if you go with more neutral shades also tell him that you just want it to enhance your features but don't try sneaking around not telling him because he WILL find out
Just do it and wash it off before he see's

Answer mine please :)

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?…
just wear a little

and gradually wear more and more every day until you like it

he wont catch on to it

ha ha

hope this helped!
Depends how old you are. If you are under 13, then i can see his point.
Punch him in the butt.
He doesn't need to know.
how old are you?

and just wear it lightly so that you don't look overdone
tell him to let u show him how u would wear it before he said no...

Im 14 and a guy and i wanna use eye liner..how do i convince my parents?

i have been accused of using eyeliner when i really have never used it and i want to use it for style and to show that i really can use it.. HELP ME PLEASE!!Im 14 and a guy and i wanna use eye liner..how do i convince my parents?
tell them that you are a unique person and they need to support you for that, it is your style and your image, and they need to respect that.

you dont tell them how to dress do you?-then they shouldnt have to tell you that you cant wear eyeliner.

PS-i think eyeliner on guys is hottt!

i really hope this helps!!

:]Im 14 and a guy and i wanna use eye liner..how do i convince my parents?
I think guys who wear eyeliner are cool. Tell your parents your an individual, and your into the whole emo thing. Parents know things are phases. If that doesn't work, steal your sisters eyeliner or do it anyways until your parents get used to it.
well honestly. no guy can pull of eyeliner unless they are gay or a rockstar. but ur probably nither. so i dont sugest u use it. and trust me. its wont look good. but if ur gay and/or still wanna ware it then tell them it just a stage. or try something else.
screw it just use it, they'll get used to it after you do it awhile. and by the way i think guys wearing makeup is so hott!!
Get over the fad.

Makeup on guys does ZERO favours.

Unless you're a cross dresser.

Then go for it.
eyeliner on guys looks so horrible bleh

don't do it

it's a major turn off
how about you just get the sex change now and blame it on adolescent rebellion?

    elizabeth ardern-pencil
Pencil eye liners run and there isnt really a way around it. you have to either just check the mirror and wipe up the mess and re-apply or switch to liquid. I like the idea of the mac fluid liner...i've never tried it but i plan to now.
Wet and wild-the self sharpening one

its good cause it has an eraser on the back!
The best cosmetics company I have found with fabulous quality is bee luscious cosmetics , they have an aloe vera and chamomile eyeliner that is wonderful and good for your eyes.
i'd get waterproof it doesn't run as easy

i like Wet n' Wild waterproof eyeliner (in black)
The most hardcore liner I have come across is MAC fluidline. Its in a little pot and you apply it with a small angled brush. Its doesnt budge for hours and hours.
I think Clinique makes the best eyeliners

Try a plum ... you'll fall in love with the way it makes your green eyes stand out and finish with a good mascara
wet and wild has alot of colors for like a dollar. i would recommend blue purple black and even green. good look
Brown eyeliner will bring out the green, somewhat of a softer look. Black will intensify your eyes.

Brown eyeliner will bring out the green in your eyes
    black,blue,deep purple

ya i think you should use blue or Green.

if you used like green eyeliner and mascara then that would really make your eyes POP.

also, traditional black would also be pretty too because it will also make your eyes look great!

What is the best pencil eye liner to use?

Every time I get one its not even dark n it comes off in like 20 minutes, even less than that some times. Can someone help me please. What is the best pencil eye liner to use?
try using a department store eye liner.

    go to www.sephora.com =]

I use black eye liner on my eye, eyebrows,my lips and create a beauty mark on my face?

i make the beauty mark the size of a dime. This is a new look i have been tring i like it..... but my 2 month son cries everytime he see mommy and people on the streets keep staring at me. i think they like it it too but i have seen teenagers staring and laughing. what should i do.I use black eye liner on my eye, eyebrows,my lips and create a beauty mark on my face?
Less is best. Too much make up, unnatural make up can bring unwanted attention. Focus on enhancing your God-given features, not adding features that you naturally do not have.

There's never been a natural ';beauty mark'; in history the size of a dime. Look a Marilyn Monroe or Cindy Crawford as examples. Their natural beauty marks or moles on their face are more like the size of a peppercorn, caper or smaller.

The size of a dime probably looks like a hairy deformity, it's so not natural. Yikes....

Maybe you want to visit a make up counter at a department store or a Sephora store and have a professional make up artist show you how to apply make up in a way that enhances your natural features vs making you look like a circus clown.I use black eye liner on my eye, eyebrows,my lips and create a beauty mark on my face?
    either your joking.

Or you just need to not put black eyeliner ALL over your face.
    So basically you're a mime?

    Love your humor. Hugs.
This is probably the most ridiculous thing I've ever read.

Answer? Quit putting eyeliner all over your face.
Well for those who are saying DONT WEAR IT. Dont listen you just need to proportion it better instead downright getting rid of how you enjoy to look. Instead of eyeliner on your lips which isnt good for their condition try a plum colour lipliner , stick black eyeliner to the EYES only , and brown eyebrow pencil it should look more natural.
are you serious? if people are staring and laughing, stop doing it!
I know why they're laughing, because you have a fake beauty mark on your face! It's a bit silly if you ask me...People can tell it's fake and that's not good because then you just look over the top. And a beauty mark the size of a dime is huge for a beauty mark! Plus, no one has black beauty marks, and that makes it look more fake. And if people are laughing at you it probably doesn't look good sorry. I would stop doing that if I were you. And why are you putting eyeliner on your lips? that's just wierd. Oh and drawing on your eyebrows, is only for scene kids ok. Eyeliner is not made for your whole face.... I would think the name would tell you that.
If the laughing bothers you, stop doing it. Otherwise, you cant really complain. You know why people are laughing at you.. it's weird.
Wash your face, try to look normal.
Black eyeliner really should only be used on the eyes. You can create a small beauty mark with it, but you'd probably be better off using brown for that purpose and keeping it the size of a sun freckle.
    Stop doing making it

Is it ok to use eye liner for defining eyebrows?

yea but it has to be a pencil eyeliner and go over your eyebrows lightly but make sure it isnt too dark cuz then it will look fakeIs it ok to use eye liner for defining eyebrows?
If you use eye liner, it makes your eyebrows look harsh and unnatural. Instead, use a brow powder (the same shade as your hair) and apply it with a small, stiff brush. Sweep it in the direction of your eyebrows. Powder makes your eyebrows look more natural while still defining them.Is it ok to use eye liner for defining eyebrows?
Omg, absolutely not. They will look penciled in and fake. You wanna go for a more natural look. You should go to a salon and get your eyebrows tinted. It's really cheap and will last you a long time and will make you look a lot more natural and defined.
Try to stay away from liner for your eyebrows. It tends

to look ridiculously dark (almost like you used a sharpie) %26amp; it smudges easily. Try something made for your eyebrows, like the powders they sell.

    Hope this helps!
I would go with using eyebrow liner instead of using an eyeliner for an eyebrow.
Yes, My best friend is a cosmetologist and she said it really works, but use a pencil and NO LIQUID EYE LINER :D
Yupp. But dont use a liquid eye liner just those pencil ones. N don Make ur eyebrows 2 dark or it will look relly awkward. %26lt;3
    no...

    it is too dark...

you may end up looking un natural...

try eyeshadows with an angled brush...

try the h.i.p brush to apply......
Yes, as long as it is pencil.. but make sure to use LIGHT strokes, and draw in little hairs as you go along
    yea i think so

Do you ever use black eye liner on your lips?

If you don't, do you think that looks tacky? I was in high school %26amp; saw other girls do it, %26amp; I did it a couple of times. How come I can never find black LIP liner? I heard eye liner %26amp; lip liner are basically the same product. Is that true or false?Do you ever use black eye liner on your lips?
Isn't eyeliner a hella lot more chalkyier hahaha. hottopic has some black lip linersDo you ever use black eye liner on your lips?
I've tried it before and it worked the same as a lip liner. I was going out and wanted a dramatic look and I blended it slightly with a colored lipstick. It was definitley a dramatic look. Personally I wouldn't want it for everyday make-up but it was nice for the club scene. I didn't use it to make my lips BLACK . It was to create a darker contrast. and make the lipstick pop a little. It was not a heavy dark outline but a blended look.
yes, there is a black lip liner my cousin uses it and black eyeliner key word for eye. lol hunh go to walmart or a drug store and try to find it or maybe a 99 cent infinity store. they are not the same thing they are both very different in many ways and the txture is very different because of the difference in the surface being used.
1.maybe during halloween or if you want to do a vampy look!

    2. Tacky..to me it doesn't look normal

3.and it all depends on the brand but generally it is safe to wear on both lips and eyes
no, it's creepy and tacky. who wants smudged eyeliner all over their lips. that would be why it's called EYE-liner.
    No that would look odd.
no, that sounds gross. why would you want your lips black..?
no i havent done that and it sure does seem tacky! you have heard wrong sweety black lip liners are available
    that would look really trashy...

  • How would I be able to use liquid eye liner without making the line look too big?

Wipe the thin brush on the container edge when taking it out, so there isn't too much on the brush, then use the tip of the brush just above lash line while looking down into hand-held mirror.

Works great, and you can add powder on top of it after it dries if you want a more smudged look that lasts. How would I be able to use liquid eye liner without making the line look too big?
The process you need to take to apply liquid eyeliner is pretty straightforward but if you were never taught how to do it, you may be hesitant to try.

The bottom line is that there are serious benefits to using liquid eyeliner and waterproof liquid eyeliner. And, once you learn the proper technique, it is not that difficult to apply it flawlessly every time. Before you get started learning how to apply it, you will need to purchase the product that is right for you.

    What is Liquid Eye Liner?

Liquid eyeliner is simply eyeliner that is in liquid form instead of pencil or powder form. The liquid liner is usually designed as a slender tube with a fine brush on the end. By turning the tube on the other end, the liquid comes out in small amounts. It comes in a variety of colors, including brown liquid eyeliner. It also comes in several different formulas

    Benefits of Liquid Eyeliners

There are a lot of benefits to using liquid eyeliners. Learning how to use eyeliner is a big bonus in understanding the benefits. These include:

Line doesn鈥檛 fade as easily as with other eyeliners.

Fine brush glides over lids easily and with precision.

Most formulas are waterproof or water resistant.

Proper Liquid Eyeliner Application - The Steps

There is a precise method when it comes to learning how to apply liquid eyeliner. Learning how to put on regular eyeliner is a good first step before graduating to liquid eyeliner. Here are the steps:

Apply eyeshadow base to the lids. This will prevent the makeup from smudging.

When you are first learning how to apply liquid eyeliner, it is a good idea to apply regular eyeliner with a light touch. Then you can go over it with the liquid liner. The benefit of this is that the line will already be drawn.

When it is time to apply the liquid eyeliner, prep the liner by making sure there is enough liquid in the brush.

Start with the top lid. With a light touch, apply the liner starting at the inside corner and working outwards.

Instead of trying to apply it all in one long line, it works best if you actually draw several smaller lines. However, as you practice more, you will find the best method for you.

Make sure you let the eyeliner dry thoroughly before applying more eye makeup or even blinking.

    Buying Liquid Eyeliner

When you purchase liquid eyeliner, there are a few things that you will need to look out for. First, you will want to buy a product that is highly regarded. Reading product reviews is a good idea. Also, you want to make sure that the formula is easy to work with and that the liner is in the right color.

Two of our favorites are Maybelline Liquid Eyeliner and Revlon Liquid Eyeliner. Both products are put out by highly respected cosmetic companies. Maybelline鈥檚 formula is precise and you can actually draw the line in one stroke. Revlon鈥檚 is also easy to apply. Both formulas are long lasting and do not smudge easily.

How would I be able to use liquid eye liner without making the line look too big?
I love Maybelline eye liner. The applicator that is provided is great even for someone that has never used eyeliner. You can get your line just the way you want it.
use the tip of the eyeliner brush thing, not the side, and follow reaaalllyy close to your lash line.
use the tip and go slowly close to the lid!

also if it is thick or even just get a cotton swap and tidy it up :]

Hey!! When in doubt turn to Tyra Banks lol I am forever watching her show and America's Next top model to get new make up tips and of course because her shows are awesome but for your friends skin I would use more of bronzy golds for the eyes and then browns for the eye liner because the black would be way to harsh on her dark eyes where the brown will make them look much softer! check out some pics I got for your friend to maybe get some new ideas! :) I also recommend MAC because they have shades for every skin color and they give great advice over the counter!

some pinks would look really nice too with white under the brows! I also always use white in the corner of my eyes to look more awake and fresh, she might want to try tht too!

I had dream i'm putting black eye liner .two days later i had same dream but i'm using blue eye liner.what doe

Go to http://www.bored.com they have this dream interpreter there.I had dream i'm putting black eye liner .two days later i had same dream but i'm using blue eye liner.what doe
i think u r just wanting to change ur makeup style.I had dream i'm putting black eye liner .two days later i had same dream but i'm using blue eye liner.what doe
To dream that you are applying make-up, signifies that you are trying to cover up or conceal a hidden aspect of yourself. Alternatively, it may signify that you are putting on your best face forward. You are trying to enhance your self-image and increase your sense of self-confidence. To dream that you are wearing too much make-up, indicates that you are putting more emphasis on beauty and outside appearances rather than what is inside.
It means that you're obsessed with your looks.
dunno...maybe you should buy an eye liner!
    Hi!

Perhaps it means that you want to switch up your look a bit but stick with what you know (the eyeliner being in both of the dreams). Since you changed the color but not the actual liner.

If this is how you're feeling, take a cue from yourself and try changing something that would make a subtle positive difference to you.

Good luck, this could just be what you didn't know you needed!
Maybe your dreams are telling you it is time to change your style follow your dreams and see if it works.
That you're obsessed with your appearance.

I heard that white eye liner makes your eyes look bigger, I got a pencil and I need help using it?

I have a pencil white eye liner, where am I supposed to apply it? It smudges easy if you rub it with your fingers. Can you help me?I heard that white eye liner makes your eyes look bigger, I got a pencil and I need help using it?
The inside of your bottom lashes.I heard that white eye liner makes your eyes look bigger, I got a pencil and I need help using it?
You apply it to the inside of the eyelashes on the bottom lid....from afar it blends with the white of your eye and makes it look bigger and more open
what i do is: I use champagne eye shadow as a base (covergirl, really cheap) then I use a plum color very lightly over it...then apply the white liner thickly close to your upper lashes. find a powder white shimmery eye shadow and apply over it lightly. finish with thick coats of mascara and you are good to go!
the inside corners of your eye. dont go all the way as this may look yuk. so just limit to the inside corners.
Yeah, apply on the bottom lashes. White eyeliner is also a good way to bring out the white color in my eyes when my eyes are bloodshot..=P
    rite bhind your bottom lashes!
    above your lower lash line.i use it all the time and it's my ';secret weapon';
On the inside bottom of your eye will brighten your eyes for a pretty look, and if you want it on the top, stretch your skin of your eyelid out towards the corner so it is tight and it will be easier to make a straight line, as thick or thin as you want it.
I use it on lower inner rim
i think it looks best in the inner corner of the eyes and also along the bottom lash line. that will give it a 'open' or bigger look, which is what you want
I dont know about others on here but i have to use the liquid one i never had luck getting the pencil one on at all.
When used on the upper lid, the white attracts light and opens up the shape of your eye, whereas a black liner can make your eyes look smaller. You can also put white liner on the inside of your lower lid, inside the lashes. As with any makeup, be sure to choose the right shade: Stark whites can look a little bit scary, so opt for an off-white liner or try smudging more severe shades with a sponge or Q-tip for a softer look.

To apply, line the inner corner of the eye or your lower lashline with an eye pencil in shimmery white, cream, or silver and blend in the line. For extra brightening, use the same pencil to highlight the brow line.

Should you use black eye liner on brown eyes?

I have small brown eyes. I usually wear it on the bottom lid.Should you use black eye liner on brown eyes?
Yes black eyeliner looks fab on brown eyes,It's usually best if you put mascara on as well, Your eyes will look more defined and darker ..they can look larger by applying two shades of shadow , a light shade on the upper eye lid and a darker shade on the crese. The best color shades for brown eyes are slate blue, grey and plum will help brown eyes stand out ... hope this helps. Should you use black eye liner on brown eyes?
Wearing it on the bottom lid will actually make them seem smaller. I would advice using a little bit on the top half outer corners. It will open your eyes so much more. Nothing too dramatic. Also use a light shimmer shade on the inner corners up to the beginning of you eyebrows, will also give the appearance of your eyes being larger. Nothing wrong with black on brown eyes either :)
I have learned that if you use eye liner on the bottom lid it makes your eyes appear smaller than they really are!! So if you eyes are already small...only use it on the top lid!! Yes black is my favorite and i use the liquid kind...i think it looks nicer and less clumpy! Also, i just bought some light blue...it really brings out my brown eyes and looks good if you have brown hair!! =]
Black eye liner matches perfectly with brown eyes. However, you said that you have small eyes..... If you are going to use it on the bottom lid be sure to only line half of your eye, from the outer corner in just to the middle. This will make your eyes look bigger.
eye liner depends on your overall colouring, if your blond with fair skin with brown eyes, black eyeliner is to harsh. I agree with only lining the top lid and only go 3/4 of the way... you don't want to close your eyes in.
I would try something with emerald blue in it or like an eggplant color. I have blue blue blue eyes and the complimentary color is brown. I think those colors above should really make your brown eyes pop.

    Good luck

    Stay beautiful
Yes, black liner goes well with brown eyes.

I aslo have brown eye's and I use diffrent color eyeliner's but my favorite color to wear is gold eyeliner.

Yes...Black is a neutral and goes with every color of eye. Also, wearing it on your top lid as well would open up your eyes and make them look slightly bigger :)
Defonately, and make sure you drag the liner to the center just underneath the pupil.
ya, but not too much, and a little mascara wouldnt hurt.

    answer mine?

Yes. You can definately wear black eyeliner with brown eyes... but you should experiment with amounts to see what best fits your face (and style). : )
    yeah on the top

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
Yes. But since your eyes are small, put it out side. But not a lot, because you don't want to look like a raccoon.

    -Blah
Of course- black looks good on any color eye. But like others said- experiment with different looks.
Yes. I have brown eyes and I use black eyeliner.

    *Jank!
try just the top... experiment before taking a shower.
Black is okay for brown eyes

I use a color called black brown
Yes. And you should wear it on the top lid too.
lol i hope so because i do.

i answered your other question btw(:
    yes.

but i would suggest using it on you top lid as well. =)
    Sure = )

My eyes hurt and seem soo tired every day, eventhough I get enough sleep. I use eye liner every day as well?

When I wear make up on my eyes, they always feel so swollen and feel sooo tired :(

Should I buy some eye drops, would that make them feel better? Or are eye drops bad for you?

    What can I do?

Also, Another question on eye liner:

How can you get a new eye pencil to draw better? it seems so difficult to break them inMy eyes hurt and seem soo tired every day, eventhough I get enough sleep. I use eye liner every day as well?
if it's impossible for you to stop wearing make up, look for hypo-allergenic make up which can be used for your sensitive eyes. when my eyes feel that way i do lay off the make up for a little while and use eye drops if they're really really burning. also, to break in your eyeliner pencil i always find it easiest to cut the tip off of mine. it actually does work pretty well.My eyes hurt and seem soo tired every day, eventhough I get enough sleep. I use eye liner every day as well?
Try hypoallergenic makeup because it does sound like it could be related to the eyeliner and/or mascara. Blue and black eye colours seem to create the most allergic reactions in people.

Eye drops are also a good idea.

To break in any make up pencil, you get a tissue and swivel the lead around kind of wiping and softening the lead.
You may be dealing with allergies. Did you recently switch make-up brands? Or have you started taking or stopped taking a certain medicine or vitamin?

Think of things you have done differently or changed in your life to cause this. Sometimes it can be an unrelated thing, for example:

Have you changed your makeup brand.

Have you changed your detergent on your bed sheets.

Are you using or not using a certain medication, or vitamin.

    Have you changed office/work environments?

Think about your environment, or any other changes that have been made recently to cause this reaction.

    Good luck!
You could be having an allergic reaction to your make-up, but not being a scientist or make-up specialist, and not living near you so as to be able to go to your home and check, I couldn't tell you for sure.

This is why there are doctors, so you can make an appointment and discuss these kinds of health related issues. Get off of Y!A and get on the phone to your doctor's office. In the meantime, wash off any make-up and don't use it for a few days to see what happens. Good luck.
Stop using your eye make up for a few days and see if it clears up.

I think by the sound of things that you have an allergy to your make up or eye liner.

  • I bought some liquid eye liner, but I'm having a hard time using it. How do you put it on correctly?

I like make up and recently bought some really pretty liquid eye liner that looks great with my blue eyes. I'm having a hard time putting it on so it looks right. Is there a certain ways to do it? How should I be putting it on?I bought some liquid eye liner, but I'm having a hard time using it. How do you put it on correctly?
before applying blow on the tip of it a bit. start in the inner eye and make dots to the end of your eye lid and just connect the dots after. it creates a straight line.i had a rough time using liquid eye liners and this was the best tip i received and it worked. I bought some liquid eye liner, but I'm having a hard time using it. How do you put it on correctly?
Don't try to use it for the first time right before you go out, you must practice. I usually wipe a little of the liquid off before applying it so there isn't a ton on the brush. I pull the end of my eyelid out horizontally and start at the end and work my way to the inner corner of my eye, if you mess up wait for it to dry and try to put eyeshadow over it and correct the spot you messed up on. hope it helps.
    Practice putting it on.

I start from the inner part and work towards the outer.

What helps me put it on is I close the eye that I'm going to put the eye liner on and I pull the outer part so it looks like I'm trying to make my eyes, asian. It helps me put the right amount on,but it doesn't work for everyone.
liquid eye liner is tricky especially if you haven't used pencil eye liner before either. you must make sure to wipe any excess linerwhat i do is hold my elbow with my other hand to make sure it stays steady just take your time and go slowly. practice makes perfect
I hold the outside of my eye tight, so the one eye is pretty much closed and you can swipe in on with one swipe. It takes a lot of practice, so practice at home until you get it perfect.
Well start off slow.....i usually start from the front to the end. Keep the line straight of course. Oh and you should get the makeup eye eraser if you mess up..... the makeup eye pen eraser is a must for all women.....good luck!
    try this link http://www.myfashionlink.com/?p=446
Always do short and thin swipes. If you mess up just use a q-tip and wipe it off.

I want to know about eye liner using.?

i mean if i dont want want to use liquid eye liner what else i can use to line my eyes in the top portion as well as in the lower portion .I want to know about eye liner using.?
You can use pencil liners with eyeshadow over the liner to prevent smudging. Or you can try gel liners they are easier to work with than liquid but dry like them. If you really need more info i suggest going on youtube. There are tons of videos talking about the different eyeliner options and their application.

How do I use black eye liner without looking goth?

How do I use black eye liner without looking goth? i cant use liquid eyeliner because i have sensitive eyes. what do i do?How do I use black eye liner without looking goth?
put it on your wet line only (the inner line) if you have small eyes tho, this might not be the best idea, if you have big eyes (like me) also apply it to the top wet line... this is more difficult but it looks very neat and not gothic... I'd recommend mac eyeliner (I use ebony, its the darkest black and I dont look gothic) make sure you tell them you want one that will last a long time on your wetline, waterproof is not mac's best eyeliner for this! How do I use black eye liner without looking goth?
The key to not looking goth is making dashes or dots instead of drawing a continuous line. I would recommend a soft black pencil with the point on one end and a smudger on the end (I would recommend either Lancome kohl in Noir or L'oreal in Sable, they're the two best) -- not the automatic kind but the kind you can sharpen. Then, sharpen it and draw a series of tiny dashes on your lids as close to the lash line as possible, starting where your lashes start in the inner corner and going until (but not beyond) the outer corner. Use the smudger to smudge the dashes together. Voila! This method is almost impossible to mess up. PS - I have sensitive eyes too and I've found that waterproof eyeliner works better because it's less likely to get ruined if my eyes water.
I kinda have the same problem, i would recomend putting on a dark brown and blending it with some shimmery bronz brown, it looks good
you could mix it with white and it would turn out grey and that would be really cool. or you can use sparingly as to make it look like a shadow or something natural.
Apply a thin line and smudge it a bit so there is not a harsh demarcation. If you are using liquid liner, realize that the rest of the look must be very particular. When your eyes are dark, go light on the cheeks and lips.
you can use a very thin line and then smudge it so it is visible but not goth. also, consider other colors, such as charcoal, which you can use as much as you like without looking goth.
get a pencil liner and use it from mid lid to outside corner of lid, this gives cat eye affect, smudge the line for a soft romantic affect.
Use a kohl pencil or such to draw a thin line on you whole upper eyelid. It looks best if it's a little bit thicker in the eye corner. Then draw a line underneath you eye that's thicker in the eye corner and then gets thinner and eventually fades out. Put some mascara on, and voila! You're HOT!
use eyeshoadow as your liner instead a actual eyeliner
I personally use to have the same issue but what I found is if you take your pencil and sharpen it very well and color so close to your lashes that it is pretty much in them on the lid it doesn't. But the key is to have a SUPER thin line and that is why you need to have a sharp pencil and also a stead hand!! Good Luck!
Okay, i use black eyeliner everyday and i do it without looking goth. the thing to remember is to make a thin straight line on the top lid if nessessary you can use white eye shadow or light brown. then on the bottom put the eye liner inside the bottom lid and finally do your mascra but do it very lightly on the bottom lashes or else you will come off a little bit gothic.

    well i hope this helps
    LOL, putit on lighter
Sharpen your pencil well and draw a very thin line as close to your eyelashes as you can. Do not eye line your lower eyelid. At first it might be difficult but you`ll get better pulse over time. Personally I use liquid eye liner or wet eye shadow.
    smudge it!!!
i wear eye liner and i dont look goth at all... but put it on the bottom and if u want the top i wouldnt suggest it though ... then just put a little eyeshadow on like what blue or pink or something ...you wouldnt lok goth at a ll
i love black eyeliner and im like the opposite of goth..umm what i do is i draw a line as close to my lashes as possible on top and make it a bit thicker at the outer corners, then on the bottom use dark brown and like 2/3 of the way (thining the line out as u go toward ur nose) then apply a very sheer shimmery eyeshadow on the inner corner of the eye and blend above and below the lid.
Have you ever tired using black eyeshadow as an eyeliner before? Take a slanted angle brush and black eyeliner and gently glide it on. It will give it a smoky effect as well as a gentle look to your eyes.
dont put it on that dark or wear brighter clothes and not darker ones
instead of useing eyeliner, take a eyeliner brush(something like that!) dip it into water/eye care drops(doesnt crack the eyeshadow!) then dip it inot the eyeshadow and draw a line for a line effect!
You can use it (pencil eyeliner) on the inside of your eye cuz that just looks stunning. Or, you could try just using a light, thin line on the outside of your bottom eyelid. Have fun!

I used eye liner and mascara like everyday and am startin to get dark circles? any advice on how to get rid of

them without any creams/ is there anything else i could use besides mascara to make my eyes look nice but same time prevent dark circles??

PLZZ HELP!!I used eye liner and mascara like everyday and am startin to get dark circles? any advice on how to get rid of
Mkeup contains dyes in them, so they must've dyed your skin.

Try curling your lashes, and using a clear mascara.

And then concealer under your eyes.

Then sue the company that made your mascara! (Kidding)

what mascara/liner did you use, BTW?I used eye liner and mascara like everyday and am startin to get dark circles? any advice on how to get rid of
Mascara and eyeliner do not produce dark circles. Lack of sleep, stress, not eating well, lack of fluids, heredity, or sickness produce dark circles. If you rule out all of the latter, there are products in the market that help with the dark circles. Also cool cucumber or potato slices do wonders.
maybe u r not using the correct cleanser... check out ur local cosmetic counter for good deals.
Your eye liner and mascara are not giving you dark circles under your eyes unless you are not removing the cosmetics at night! If you are removing your make-up properly then the problem lies elsewhere. Are you getting enough rest? Are you feeling at all ill?

You can use a very light shade of facial make-up under your eyes and blend it into your regular make-up in short upward strokes or with a make-up sponge in order to hide the dark areas. I would, in any event, see your doctor if these dark circles don't start to disappear on their own with enough rest, proper diet and proper facial care.
if the dark circles are due to the makeup, make sure you are not applying your facial cream too close to your eyes ... this will make your eyeliner run. when applying your facial cream steer clear of your undereye area which is very sensitive and also will affect your eye makeup. if you are experiencing 'true' dark circles that are not makeup related, check with your doctor ... i don't think it is anything major but it would be wise to at least have it checked out. ; )
Cucumber slices, potato juice, teabags are some home remedies for dark circles.More tips and home remedies at http://dl9.org
I think it鈥檚 important to really understand the causes of you dark circles before trying to treat the dark circles. My friend has serious dark circles and her dark circles are improving by following the information provided by http://www.darkcirclesundereyescure.com
Yes I know the answer! Lol, I had the same problem. Vitamin K at Walgreens. It's in a glass container. It's called Vita-K solution (green label), it's about $10 but sometimes you can get one free. Just ask the counter person.
Hey hun.., are you sure it is your mascara and liner.. it might just be that you are not getting enough sleep.. that or you are not cleaning your eyes good enough.. i would suggest not sleeping in your makeup... use a clump free mascara.. and carry a Q-tip with you to clean up your eyes throughout the day... sometimes the stuff gets into your creases throughout the day as your sweat and makes you look older and like you have runny makeup
wash off ur makeup everynight! or it will smear and create dark circles and pimples
maybe ur tired too and its a mixture...
put cotton balls in a cup of water in the refridgerator (not freezer!) for one day, then leave on eyes for 10 min... repeat every day until you see change! :)

How do you use liquid eye liner?

I bought liquid eye liner because they ran out of the pencil kind, and when i first tried it i put on eye shadow first, then i started the eye line. When i finished, My eyes looked like i drew on the upper lid. I figured thats how its suppose to look but then i looked in a magazine and its not. How do you apply liquid eye liner? Please and thank you!How do you use liquid eye liner?
I like liquid eye liners. I think they are very easy to use you should put eye shadow first and simply make a thin line very close to your eyelashes( you can make it thicker if you like: apply a thing one first - Just draw a straight line and add more by drawing on top of thin one to make it thicker - wider) I use liquid eye liners more then 10 years now and I cannot use anything else.

Please try again, it is easy and very important that you not using any pressure on your eye and on your skin during that procedure. How do you use liquid eye liner?
never tried liquid eyeliner, but i guess that you should apply it first, then wait for it to dry. then put on eyeshadow.
    * STEP 1: Choose an eyeliner appropriate for your eye color. Brown, navy and charcoal accent light eyes well, while brown and plum shades flatter brown eyes. Make sure your liner complements the color of your shadow.

    * STEP 2: Consider the type of look you're after. Pencil eyeliner gives your eyes soft definition, while liquid versions offer precision and drama. You can also moisten dark eye shadow and apply it with a small, flat brush.

    * STEP 3: Prepare a cake liner or a dark eye shadow by applying a small amount of water to your brush. Or, if you're using a pencil eyeliner, ensure that you've sharpened the pencil adequately.

    * STEP 4: Move the wet brush gently through your cake liner or dark shadow. Hold the brush or pencil as you would hold a pen.

    * STEP 5: Tilt your head back slightly and bring your eyes to a half-open state. This creates a good angle for application, while allowing you to see what you're doing.

    * STEP 6: Draw a line across the upper lid just above the lashes, from the inside corner to the outside corner of the eye. If you're using liquid liner, allow it to dry before opening your eyes all the way, or the color may transfer into the crease of your eye.

    * STEP 7: If you used a brush or a pencil, soften the look by gently smudging the line with your brush, a cotton swab or your finger.

    * STEP 8: Line the lower lids. Moving from the outside edge inward, draw a line on the outer two-thirds of the lid or more, depending on the look you're going for. Your line should be slightly thicker at the outside corner, becoming thinner as it moves in toward your nose. Using your brush or pencil, lightly stroke the area. If using a liquid liner, apply it in one smooth stroke. Apply less color so your eyes don't appear raccoon-like.

You can also use these steps to apply pencil eyeliner. Liquids and pencils are the same, only liquids is more dramatizing.
I think you should put the eyeliner on first, wait 30 seconds-ish, then take a q-tip and go across the line and smudge it a little (not too much) After that, carefully put your eyeshadow on, not to cover the eyeliner. This way, the eyeliner doesn't look too dark. It takes a lot of practice to get the wet eyeliner to work, but after some time, you should get a hang of it. Or you can just use the dry stuff which is waayy easier and less time consuming. good luck. xP
It it almost like putting on a pencil eye liner. With liquid it takes more time and you have to be more patient and go more slowly.
Use liquid eye liner just like regualar eye liner.
When applying liquid eye liner, its best to keep your eye closed until it dries. Since its liquid, you probably opened your eyes in a manner that made the liquid go on the upper lid before it got a chance to dry. Liquid eye liner takes some practice. I know a lot of people that have a hard time with this. There are two kinds that you can buy. There is one that has a long stem with a tiny brush at the tip and there is another that looks like a marker. The marker kind is better for beginners. The other kind is used if you know how to have a steady hand. It may help if you apply it really thin rather than thick. Another good idea would be to apply the eye liner before the eyeshadow and if you mess up, get a wet Q-tip and wipe off where you messed up. This cannot be done to water proof though. Just letting you know.
I use that stuff but you cant pull your eye if you know what i mean you have to use the tip not the hole thing and dont use that much just a little. and it takes practice and time. youll get it

How come I can never find black lip liner? Do you ever use black ';eye'; liner for your lips?

i don't know if you have a ';Hot Topic'; store in your city... they sell it. i'm sure there should be some other goth/punk rock store that offers products like that.

anyways, black eyeliner should be just fine on your lips. How come I can never find black lip liner? Do you ever use black ';eye'; liner for your lips?
Unless you have very large lips the darker the colour the smaller your lips will look too.

You can do the gothic look without having to make yourself look unattractive.

Try a dark burgundy instead and lighten the middle with a paler colour to make your lips look fuller- black will just make you look like you've eaten something nasty or have an illness.

Keep black for the eyes! How come I can never find black lip liner? Do you ever use black ';eye'; liner for your lips?
You might need to order some from Japan....it's a BIG trend for them. However my own search on the internet brought up nothing. Your best, and cheapest, bet would be to just stock up on it during Halloween time. I would gather that 6 sticks will last you a year.
there is some in during halloween in the costume makeup section...

FYI it's in the halloween section for a reason... Black lips = gross
I don't like black lipliner BUT....I have friends that use eyeliners then a little lipgloss %26amp; it looks nive..never seen any1 do it with black but....try it
That's a sign for how tacky it is. Unless its Halloween you shouldn't wear black lip liner.

  • Is using a fine point sharpie healthie to use as eye liner (as long as you don't get the sharpie in your eye?)

    NO!

Not only is it like poison, it can be germ-filled. And it would look ugly.Is using a fine point sharpie healthie to use as eye liner (as long as you don't get the sharpie in your eye?)
no because there are bad chemicals in the sharpie (that's why it smells) it'll dry your skin and it could penetrate your skin since your eye area has a thinner layer of skin and is more sensitive. Is using a fine point sharpie healthie to use as eye liner (as long as you don't get the sharpie in your eye?)
Permanent inks, like the classic Sharpie, contain three main ingredients: colorant, carrier (solvent) and resin (polymer). For permanence, the colorant of choice is pigments (as opposed to dyes). Pigments do not fade like dyes and do not bleed through paper. Solvents for the old markers (up until the 1990's) were nasty-smelling organic chemicals such as xylene. Nowadays, the solvent of choice is an alcohol (ethanol or isopropanol), which is more enviromentally friendly and better smelling, while still evaporating quickly to prevent messy smearing, etc. Finally, there is a resin or polymer that is added as a ';binder'; that promotes adhesion... A permanent resin is not permanent unless it sticks like glue to most of the surfaces it is written on. The resin forms a film (once the alcohol evaporates) that allows the ink to write smoothly and uniformly on any surface (smooth or rough) while acting like glue for the pigment. Resins come in all shapes and sizes, typically, urethane acrylic resins are used (like those used in house paints).

rimmel has some good cheap eye liner pencils that you can buy at walgreens
    i wouldnt do it
No!!!! Try getting loreal they have a liner pen that is felt tip like sharpie....
No No Noway ..just think of them smell and think of how sensitive your eyes are..go get a cheap eyeliner from the store if you are worried about cost.
it probably really is not a great idea!

you can get really cheap liner at walgreens which would be a much better road...

    =]
No, think about how a sharpie can blot through paper. Now imagine that, but seeping into your eye, your eyelid and into veins.

    Yeah, not good at all.
They have ';felt tip'; liquid liners now.
I wouldn't think this would be a good idea. I'm sure someone has done that before though.
    No, no, no, no, no!!!
I highly doubt a SHARPIE would be healthy for anything!

Drugstores carry WET N WILD brand cosmetics. They have make up pencils for the lips and eyes I believe, for .99 which is cheaper than a SHARPIE and formulated for the eye area, unlike a SHARPIE.

Can u apply eye liner using a flat brush and a dark eyeshadow?? i heard that somewhere?

how do u do that? Can u apply eye liner using a flat brush and a dark eyeshadow?? i heard that somewhere?
Yes, that's what I do! I buy an eyeshadow called ';Carbon'; from MAC cosmetics and a thin brush they sell there too and just simply apply it along my eye line! It's great and lasts a long time! They sell it at Macy's! I totally recommend it! Good Luck! Can u apply eye liner using a flat brush and a dark eyeshadow?? i heard that somewhere?
Yes you can. Apply it as you would with your kohl eyeliner, making it as close to your lash-line as possible. Sometime wetting the brush a little helps. Wait till it dries and use a bigger brush to smudge the line a little.

The result is a more natural look than using pencil/liquid eyeliner.
Yes, you can do that, and the flat brush is amazing for drawing straight lines. Instead of dark eyeshadow, I'd recommend using a gel eyeliner. Many of the respondents here quote MAC and I agree. I use their fluidline range and find that it really stays and doesn't smudge. I also use the flat brush from their range.
Yeah, you need a eyeliner brush and a darker eyeshadow. then use the brush right above your eyelashes. it work better then eyeliner.
ya i do it all the time. i use an angular brush intsead of a flat brush that works better. i just apply it near my lashes and they blend in more nicely than pencil eyeliner.
You want to use an angle brush... apply it into the lash line and smudge it in. It is pretty simple. Just make sure it gets all the way into the lash line... you can also use this http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>

as it will help turn any shadow into a true liner.
There are two types of liner brushes you can use. First there is this one:

    http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>

This one you use in very short strokes to get the eye shadow as close to the lashes as you can. I find this kind of brush a little more difficult to work with as you have to have patience. If you're experienced with liquid liner, you should have no problem with this type of brush.

    Then there is this type:

    http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>

I use this type more to dot the eyeshadow around my eyes. Being flat and stiffer than a regular eyeshadow brush, dotting around the eyes with this brush helps keep the line fine and straight. You'd brush it after dotting to blend the line so it's even.

    I hope this helps...
yes, you just slightly dampen the brush to make the shadow a bit heavier and darker. i usually use eyeliner, then go over it with a matching shadow for it to last longer.
eyeliner brushes work better. they are thinner and make it easier to make a thin line. also, it is easier to wet the brush and then sweep it in the shadow making a sort of liquid liner out of the shadow. hope that helps!!!!
You should use a small angled brush to apply. You can buy one from a makeup counter, like MAC. You can use any color to line you upper and lower lid. It's nice to use a light color below and a dark color above. You can apply the eyeshadow either dry or wet, depending on the look you are going for.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYILhJOp5鈥?/a>How do i make my eyes stand out more? I use eye liner but want more on?
If your thinking about the whole smoky eye thing then:

Dot eyeliner on your eyelid (and at the bottom, if your into that) and smudge it. It won't work if it's a liquid, you'll just end up with a disaster.

Other ideas would include getting a eyelash curler, yes they sometimes make your eyelashes fall out but they won't harm the lashes if you keep the curler clean and make sure you wash your eyelashes (Gently though)

If your thinking of getting an eyelash curler, you'll find some at drugstores or supermarkets. The effect basically is that they will open your eyes and obviously curl your lashes.

I'm not sure about the next one: White eyeliner on the bottom.

I haven't tried it, although I've been meaning to.

Basically get white eyeliner and just put some on the bottom as you would on the top.

If you want to really make your eyes pop out, try accentuating them by using eyeshadows that make them stand out. For blue eyes try gray, purple, dark blues and for green eyes go with brown, purple or forest green.

Make sure you don't put too much, your trying to complement your eyes, not cover them with eyeshadow!

    Good luck :)
Some people can get away with that. I put on black liner that starts off thin and i make it thicker as I get to the corner. I do the same on the bottom. Then I do one full coat of mascara, and a second just on the tips of the lashes near the corner of my eyes. It really makes them pop, but if I want something more natural, I use Almay's Play It Up collection. It's pretty expensive, but Maybelline makes great alternatives that are a lot cheaper, and the colors work just as well.
everyone always tells me i have pretty eyes when i have makeup on, the trick is to get some shimmery, not glittery, whitish to champagne colored eyeshadow and put it on the inner corner of your eyes. dont pack it on, just do a quick swipe so its like a highlight.
Don't make it SO MUCH black, like the smokey eye.

but get some liquid eyeliner, and put some on the top of ur lid, it makes ur eyeliner look thicker, and it isn't too much :)
put black eye liner on the top and bottem do a thin line on the bottom btu a thick line on top also blk mascara

    hope this helped

TRY WHITE EYELINER. USE A WHITE OR LIGHT COLOUR AT THE VERY INSIDE CORNER OF YOUR EYE.
Try a smokey eye OR get the Almay Eyeshadows Kit to bring out your color eye. I have it for green eyes and works amazing!

How do you make make up look natural even if you use eye liner?

I want to wear make up but look natural. I want to look pretty but not over exaggerating with eye shadow and lip stick. What kind of make up should I use and how should I apply it? I know how to put make up on it's just every time I do it looks like i'm an Avril Levine wannabe. How do you make make up look natural even if you use eye liner?
You are probably using the wrong colors. Lighter colors and neutral shades usually look more natural. Try a brown eyeliner instead of a black and a lipstick shade that is closer to the natural color of your lip but a few shades darker with a clear gloss over it.How do you make make up look natural even if you use eye liner?
For eyeshadow, choose a nude look. It's very simple, but it compliments the eyes. Choose creamy/nude colors for your lid, corky/brown/espresso colors for your crease and make sure you blend it out too, and vanilla colors for the high light.

For eyeliner, natural and simple, create thin lines, not thick. You might want to try a brown or grey eyeliner. It's a more natural effect.

I'm not sure for my suggestions if you want inexpensive make up or high end make up, so if you want to know, feel free to e-mail me.

    jthizzellll11@yahoo.com
lol if it looks like your an avril levine wanna be then you have too much eyeliner on. just dont apply so much. i think if you wear a bit of eyeline and mascara is just fine. and if eyeline is too dark you can wear a dark shadow on your bottom eyelid and at night wear eyeliner. blush is also good, but not so much...
use a white eyeshadow or any natural shades for eye shadow

as for eyeliner, try a white pencil, it really looks clean, natural and beautiful. Use mascara but use a lengthning or volumising mascara to bring out your eyes. As for lipstick, use a pale pink or nude colour. will look gorgous!
Its very easy to look natural, even when wearing make up. I put on very minimal eyeliner (but not all around my eyes, as I'd rather not look like a raccoon.) Besides that, I put on a little bit of concealer then some blush on my cheeks.

    Thats all I do.

Is it safe to use eye liner on your lips?

What about lip liner on the eyes? I saw eye makeup remover that said it could also be used on lips, so I'm just curious if liner is interchangeable that way too.Is it safe to use eye liner on your lips?
It's safe to use eyeliner on lips, but not necessarily the reverse. Remember that these products are formulated - and tested - specifically for use on the area of the face they were created for, so any hypoallergenic or other claims don't apply if you use them on a different area of the face. Makeup removers for the eye tend to contain gentle products because the skin around the eye is typically the most sensitive and thin skin on the face. Facial cleansers/makeup removers for the rest of the face might not be as mild because the skin is thicker on the cheeks, forehead, etc. Whatever you choose to do, it's probably best to test a small bit of makeup on the face where you want to apply it to make sure that you're not sensitive to it first. Is it safe to use eye liner on your lips?
it really doesn't matter. its both the same thing
yes it is i use it all the time as alip liner it lasts all day long
yes it is safe i have done it before.
Yes it is safe either way.
Yeah, it's safe either way. It's basically the same ingredients with most brands. If you doubt it, just compare to ingredients list and that'll be the safiest way to check, because I am not 100% postive, although I've used them interchangably before. It could all depend on how sensitive your eyes or skin are. The only difference usually, though, is the colors.
    It's safe.
Of course its safe. Thats pretty much common sense, no offense. Its the same with lip liner, you could use that for eyeliner. I've done it before....
    why not!
Yeah, eyeliner on your lips is fine, I'm not so sure about lip liner on your eyes, though.
i think its safe to used

I have big eyes, while using eye liner shoul i draw thin or thick line?

    Do it like this

http://mamashaal.files.wordpress.com/200鈥?/a>I have big eyes, while using eye liner shoul i draw thin or thick line?
You may not need any at all, but if you want to wear it then I would def wear a semi-thin line, and smudge it a little, then apply your eye shadow on top of it. It will make it look more natural, while adding a very nice accent :) -And apply a little highlighting shadow to the brow line Good Luck! Also, you can go to any department store make up counter, and if they aren' booked (or you can call ahead) you can get a free make over. They want to show you their products, they're getting paid to stand there whether you go or not, and you're not obligated to buy anything!!I have big eyes, while using eye liner shoul i draw thin or thick line?
in day time you put on only mascara and no eyeliner that gives dramatic effect to your eyes.

if it ia a party go for thick eyeliner and you want to keep in simple draw the line thin.

go and experiment with your eyes.
Large eyes are considered to be sexy on females. I would suggest a thin line to accentuate your eyes : )
u r lucky to have big eyes cuz both types will look gorgeous and even if u dnt put any still ur eyes will be attractive. I am the same case. i have tries it, believe me.
USING A THICK ONE WILL LUK MORE GUD.........AS THE THIN 1 WONT ME MUCH VISIBLE........BUT DON GO 2 THICK IT WILL LOOK BAD!
Do not use any. Your eye would look better without any.
if you apply it to the top always make sure the bit nearest away from your eye is the tickest bit
If u have big eyes then apply a thin eye liner...as it'll make ur eyes look very sexy..
    Thick eye liner.

  • How can I get rid of the black under my eyes after using black eye liner, pencil.?

I love wearing black eye liner but dread removing it. Also what can I do to keep it from running, or avoid it droping under my eyes and having me look like a zombie? How can I get rid of the black under my eyes after using black eye liner, pencil.?
The best way to get ride of black eye liner is an eye make-up remover. I like Clinique. And the best thing to use to keep it from running is to use a waterproof liner. How can I get rid of the black under my eyes after using black eye liner, pencil.?
I know its wierd but spit on a q-tip and it wipes off easily, great if you accidentally slip with the mascara. lol
Use vaseline (petroleum jelly) to remove your eye makeup. works wonders.
    baby oil
    vaseline and tissue!
you can try mascara remover, and to keep in from running, try using a light, or translucent powder under the eye.
Use liquid Vitamin E--It removes it easily and prevents skin breakdown and wrinkles.
never never never use baby oil or vaseline around your eyes! these products are occlusive--which means they seal the skin. They're great to keep moisture in your skin on your feet or hands, but if the stuff gets into your eyes you're in trouble! Because they seal off the skin, they are very difficult to remove, so your eye cream won't penetrate, your eye makeup won't stay on...

to answer your question, find a fragrance-free, pH balanced

eye makeup remover designed to remove the type of eye makeup you wear (waterproof or not).
I see a lot of people answered the question of how to remove the eyeliner (eye makeup remover is best), but no one really answered how to keep it from smearing and running.

If you're having this problem, which tends to happen with pencil eyeliner, I stongly recommend using eye shadow instead. Just use a dark, deeply pigmented eyeshadow color (I use MAC shadow in Carbon) with an eyeliner brush. If the color doesn't go an as dark as you want you can wet the brush and it will go on darker and more dramatic. It's easy to apply and it will stay on a LOT better then a pencil.Try it!

Oh and don't apply any lotion or anything around your eyes unless you have dry skin.
use MAC cosmetics! they work awesome and never smudge! they are a little pricey too, but it's worth it!neway use eye makeup remover! its a clear liquid tthat comesin a bottle! put it on a tissue or cotton ball, wipe ur eyes, and ur ready 2 go!
Ponds or Loreal make up removal. Baby oil get's in my eye's and burns.
The best type of make-up is Mary Kay. Their Oil-Free Eye Make-Up Remover is the Best! You can use Vaseline but it leaves a greasy feeling around your eyes!
Mary Kay Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover
Well you dont need to wear eyeliner aLL the time but going outa the house its cool.....theres a really good eye makeup remover from loreal' and it doesnt smear.....:) good luck
    OHMYGOSH.

The exact same thing happens to me.

Take a QTIP, and get baby oil on it, [it removes make-up really well] and take it off.

To stop it from smearing, make sure you don't put it on the underpart of your eyelid, because when you blink it will get on the bottom eyelid, and then it smears.

    good luck!
buy almay makeup removing pads. just wipe under your eyes and you are ready to go!
Ponds cold cream it's so smooth and won't irritate the skin
Omgsh that happens to me a LOT! Here's what I do:

All I do if I get a cue-tip and get it wet (normally I just put it in my mouth and well obviously my ';spit'; does the rest.. lol) But after that I just rup it under my eyes and it gets it off! Problem Solved!

Lol Ok Hope it works for youu
Most all makeup lines have a makeup remover. My facial cleanser cleanses my face and removes eye makeup. And it doesn't sting my eyes which is awesome. I use Purity by Philosophy. Good stuff.
try using pencil eyeliner not the brayon cuz that one smudges and melts
make up remover, try the cleaner from clinque or olay face wash
if you have anything like an eye cream or cold cream (i actuallly use my mom's wrinkle cream), put it around your eyes, and remove with a Q-Tip. it works every time!! don't use just soap...that never works!
You can get eye make-up remover. Or use a little less liner. To avoid it getting under your eyes use waterproof eyeliner.
USE A LITTLE EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL ON A Q TIP
use lotion and them wash ur face
    Baby oil works.
when getting rid of dark liner lines push up towards your eyes and you will get them to go away

How can I get a dark dramatic eye without using any eye liner on my upper lid?

I'm pretty good with make up except when it comes to putting eye liner on my upper eye lids...then I really stink. I'm great at eye liner when it comes to the bottom of the eye, but on top I tend to make too thick of a line, or make it too dark...whatever it is, it never looks the way I want it to. I'm a big fan of the dark/smokey eye, not too dramatic, but still hot. How can I achieve this look without using eye liner, and without looking gothy. How can I get a dark dramatic eye without using any eye liner on my upper lid?
I tend to use a eyeliner pencil for the end of my eyelids and smugde it. Then i get a really thin liquid eyeliner and draw a thin line keeping the brush very close to my eyelashes.

If im not bothered but dnt want my eyes to look plain, i get a good mascara, brush my eyelashes downwards so that my eyes look ';hooded'; and i brush the last eyelashes on my eyelid outwards and the lashes i have at the front (near the bridge of your nose) i brush that towards my nose.

So towards my nose, middle lashes are brushed downwards to get the hooded look, and the last eyelashes (they tend to be the longest ones) i brush them outwards towards my ear and make them look flicked out.

I have very long eyelashes so its easy but u can use fake lashes if you want. How can I get a dark dramatic eye without using any eye liner on my upper lid?
Use black shadow like an eye liner and then blend it into your smokey eye. Filling in your water line with black will help deminish any noticable difference between your regular liner and the eye shadow.

Also, if you want a less goth looking smokey eye avoid using a lot of black. In fact a smokey eye can be achieved with any color (right now mine's a blue). The goth look champions using black all over the eye lid and all the way into the crease. Tone it down by breaking up the color. Use medium grey on the eye lid, light grey in the crease, and a skin complimenting (I'm black so things vary) light eyeshadow under the eyebrow. Blend really well. Then use black shadow as a thick eyeliner and blend.

Granted I went back and used fluidline eyeliner but realized that it didn't really make a difference. That's how I stumbled upon using black shadow as ';eyeliner'; when doing a smokey eye.
i know its kinda odd and i think im the only one who does it but i feel the same way about putting eyeliner on the top of my eyelid cause no matter what you can always see a space between ur eyelid and the eyeliner. so you know how you put eyeliner on like the pink part right down from your eye? like just above where your eyelashes grow? well theres one of those things on your top eyelid its just hard to see cause its pointing down. but i somehow manage to like pull my eyelid up and get it there and it looks even better then on the bottom cause its IMPOSSIBLE to tell that you have anything on so your eye just looks natuarally hot :)
get a really thin makeup brush and grey%26amp;silver eyeshadow

put the tip of the brush into the eyeshadow and shade in your eye lid about three or four times. right away your going to get that smokey effect. then take a dab of silver on the same brush and brush it along your brow bone. finish it off with a black eye shadow right in the crease of your eye. honestly, your going to have amazing results and the best looking ';smokey eyes';---for eyeliner use pencil. start in the pupil area and slowly go out if you feel like its getting to dark;stop and then continue/anything comes out better if you take your time[=

    G00DLUCK!

    -danielle-
The best way to get a smoky eye that won't run is to use waterproof or stay-put products. First use a cream shadow that won't budge to create the smoky look -- Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner [$18, BenefitCosmetics.com] stays put for hours! I like the shade Skinny Jeans because it's a smoky gray that isn't too intense, but if you want a really dark eye, use Strut or Town Car. Apply it with your finger from your lashline to crease, and also along your bottom lashes for a smudgy effect. Finish with two coats of waterproof mascara. Try Maybelline New York Intense Volume XXL Waterproof Mascara in Black [$6, drugstores].
You'll definitely want to use the smoky-eyes effect. Just look for a dark colored eyeshadow, like gray or charcoal, and use a fine applicator or the best tool--- your finger. Smear it gently on your lower lid, gradually softening as you go up... I do this sometimes with subtle silver or dark gold, and i put a little bit on the outer and inner corners.
Use an angle brush and gray eyeshadow. It is a lot easier to use then eyeliner. You can either wet the brush or keep it dry, dip it in powder, then line eyes. Once you line your eyes with it, blend into eyelids and also use some gray eyeshadow on the lids. Then use several coats of black mascara.
    black eyeshadow

or a dark purple is always dramatic

also in the corner closest to your nose use a light light color to make the dark color more dramatic

    :D
Food coloring and vaseline (petroleum jelly). Mix it first, and then apply with fingers...
Practice with the eyeliner or use dark eye shadow and blend it out
well, makeup is the only way unless you could make a whole another look, that's about the only way.

    hope this helped.
well smokey eyes are suppose to be thick, try eyeshadow the ones that has 3 colors in one plate thing, light, medium, dark.
    check out youtube gurus
Applying eyeliner to the upper lid can be difficult-it's an awkward area to put eyeliner on, and it's sensitive. To achieve the dramatic smokey eye look, (without over-doing it, of course), you'll need a compact with three or four monochromatic colors. You can potentially do the smokey eye with any color, as long as you have a dark and medium of that color, and a very light color that blends well. Just use the colors that suit your eye color best.

Anyway, rather than using a black (or dark of any other color) eyeliner on your upper lid, use that same color in eyeshadow. You will get a very dramatic effect that will blend into the other colors of eyeshadow better than eyeliner will. The key to the smokey eye is to keep everything soft and blended, yet dramatic. Use medium shades of eyeshadow for a good dramatic eye without over-doing it.

Watching a tutorial to do this is very helpful to make the process easier, and the outcome look better. This is my favorite tutorial-she shows a good, not-too-dramatic smokey eye in a simple way.

Using eye liner and eyeshadows to make eyes appear bigger?

    hello,

any tips on making my small light green eyes appear bigger and stand out??

ThanksUsing eye liner and eyeshadows to make eyes appear bigger?
I always thought that piling on more eyeliner made the eyes bigger, in reality, lining them fully literally creates a box and makes them smaller. Stay away from black and use gray, brown, and purple.

What eyeliner does is to make the lashline look fuller, which makes your eyes appear bigger. When you use liner, only go (from the outside to in) about 3/4 in with it. This should make it stop right at where your lashes start to come in. Make sure you taper it off so that it doesn't have a harsh line. Also, if your eyes are small, don't use a lot of liner on the bottom lash line as it makes them look even smaller. You can smudge some shimmer eyeshadow or a darker shade than what you're wearing on your lids if you want some depth.

    Picture example: http://media.photobucket.com/image/eyeli鈥?/a>

Notice how it tapers inward. She almost has it too thick for smaller eyes.

For eyeshadow, purples and golds look beautiful with green eyes.Using eye liner and eyeshadows to make eyes appear bigger?
    I have green eyes.

I don't ever recommend using black eyeliner, because it's really harsh. If you use brown eyeliner, it's more subtle. If you apply the eyeliner on the wrong part of your eye, it will make your eyes look smaller. Apply the eyeliner right below your bottom lashes. Either add a thin line very close to your lash line on the top lid, or don't apply any at all up there. This will make your eyes look bigger.

Purple shadow will also make the green in your eyes pop.

    Hope that helps.
I have small green eyes too, and i like to use a black eyeliner, but to bring out the green in your eyes you should use purple eye shadow.

Note that eyes can appear smaller though if you make eye shadow too dark all over the eyelid, so the colour should be darkers on the outter side of the eye, and eyeliner to increase eye size should start from the middle and work darker towards the outter eye.
white eyeliner or white cream eyeshadow (i don't know what that's actually called) on the inside corners of your eyes.

How do you get a punk rocker look using eye liner and possibly mascara?

Line both the top and bottom eyelid with a black pencil liner. But before you put it on rub the pencil tip between your fingertips to warm it up so it goes on easier. After it's applied use a q-tip to slightly smudge/blend the pencil line. When you do your bottom eyelid, make sure you line the inside of the lid, the part that's closest to your eye (try not to poke yourself). Finish off with the mascara if you wish. How do you get a punk rocker look using eye liner and possibly mascara?
Thick and dark, that's the key here.

In this picture you can get a close-up of how she has her makeup.

http://images.buycostumes.com/mgen/merch鈥?/a>How do you get a punk rocker look using eye liner and possibly mascara?
My advice is to go to Sephora and buy a handful of their big chunky eyeliners - they are only $5!. They have some awesome colors - greens, purples, blues, silvers, etc!

They glide on, and blend well. Take 2 or 3 colors and mix them together. For example, line the inside corner of your eye with green, and the outside with purple, or the top with pink and the bottom with black.

For an extra effect, you can always line your waterline with a black eyeliner (for this, I suggest their skinny water-proff pencil, which is also super cheap). Your water line is that line around your eye that is just inside your lashes.

To line your waterline, hold your bottom lashes with one hand, and SLOWLY run the black pencil just above your bottom lashes. It will feel funny at first - kind of ticklish, but you will get over it, and it looks fabulous! To do your top rim, hold your top lashes with one hand, and again, aim for just below your top lashes.

Top off with black mascara - I know that Sephora makes one, but there are some super funky ones, too. Lancome has special edition ones out right now that have glitter in them - kind of sweet.

If you like glitter, also check out Urban Decay. A little glitter eyeliner goes a long way!

    hope that helps!
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ hes a guy not a girl!
You'll need both black liquid and pencil eyeliner.

First use the pencil all the way around both eyes, and smudge the lines to about a 1/4 inch thickness at the bottom lids. Next apply a thin, but VERY defined, dark line of liquid liner at the bottom lids.

    Finish the look with mascara.

For inspiration, look to Avril Lavigne:

    http://files.isound.com/pics/a/v/avril_lavigne-51921.jpg
    My suggestion is

when doing the liner extend past the outer eye corner kind of kitty cat eye style... and yah dark and thick is good for the whole eye, but especially so on the outter, upper lid.

I like to point or curve the extended part of the line slightly upward a bit and it can look very sexy and extreme if youre comfortable with it.

Dont hold back becuase its not about being natural or conservative for once

I also like to define the inner corner of my eye into a point, you can make a smaller one that follows the direction of your eyes corner's point or you can make it go down a little bit...

    For mascara:

On the top lid I would cover all the lashes but especially emphasize the outter lashes

On the bottom one I would only do the outter

If youre thinking of using eye shadow or an eye pencil/crayon I would get a neon, UV bright, obnoxious color or red... then on the top fill in the lid as high as you want it to go, I think it shouldnt go up to the brow but thats me

I actually like it when I put on color on the area under neath the brow bone because it adds a depth to the color and the look...

then on the extension part, do the same upward swoosh motion you did with the liner in the eyeshadow color just above (NOT ON) the liner so you dont smear it...

You could also do the same below a little thinner, and on the outter area, remembering not to go over the liner, but below this time

Dont forget the lipstick and lipliner! I dont do anything that special with that except for the color - gotta be loud

You can also try using an eyebrow pencil to emphasize a certain edgy, pointiness - i think it adds to the cattyness...
do a kindof retro style...like bat wings...look up amy winehouse, she's crazy looking but that's how she wears her eye make up.

I use lancome pencil eyeliner%26amp; my skin's somewhat oily but I put powder around my eye before putting on eyeliner%26amp; after applying I add a little eyeshadow around the area to try and prevent the smearing a little but in a few hours its just a big goopy mess

I can't use liquid eyeliner under the eye because it hurts%26amp; ends up cracking in little pieces%26amp; gets into my eye, which takes a while to washout and I don't have time for that in school

I've used eyeliner gel/ whatever you call it, its like in a jar %26amp; you need a brush to apply it, it dries up really fast but it cracks %26amp; smears and its horrible ..

How do I stop the smearing ? What type of eyeliner do I use

Either waterproof, smudgeproof, or longwear. There is a waterproof version of almost every eyeliner!

My favorite waterproof eyeliner is Maybelline New York Unstoppable Eye Liner

My favorite smudgeprood eyeliner is L'Oreal Paris HIP High Intensity Pigments Kohl Eyeliner

My favorite Longwearing eyeliner is CoverGirl Outlast SmoothWear All-Day Eyeliner

    Hope this helped!

I really like Maybelline Unstoppable. It has mixed reviews, but on me, it absolutely does not budge even on my super watery eyes, and its the only one I can use on my waterline and have it stay for at least 7 hours. Hope that helps!
Try black eyeshadow or whatever color you use for eyeliner and use an eyeliner brush and put it right under your lower eyelashes as eyeliner.
avon liquid pencil I use it and it is the best It is a pencil but softer than a pencil
Estee Lauder Double wear pencil....they last for ever and don't smudge..they are 19.00 bucks though...but worth it.
try water proof eyeliner...that is sure to help..

How do you apply eye liner without it smearing at the bottom ?

i usually put it right on the actual lid not below the lashes...the best way to get it to stay on for a long time is to get a pencil one and heat it up just a little bit..not too much other wise you'll just end up with a big smudge but if you do it right it should work just fine. How do you apply eye liner without it smearing at the bottom ?
Put on powder first. Or you can use cover up to make it stay put. If using liquid, let dry completely before blinking, or use blow dryer.

use a primer, like urban decay's primer potion...

or if you're a teenager with absolutely no money, like myself, find a long-lasting liner.

    Revlon Colorstay pencil liner

or Almay Eye Pencil (16+ hours of wear) last a super-long time. no budging when it comes to either of these liners. less than $10 each.
after you apply your eyeliner dip the head of a q-tip into some pressed power and apply that right along your lower lash line. As for the top liner I like to do a lasagna technique and apply the liner then dip the head of a q-tip into some pressed power and apply that directly on top of the liner I have just drawn on and then apply another layer of liner on top of that! this is what works for me so I hope this works for you! GOOD LUCK!
First, use a base on your lid, such as foundation, primer, or moisturizer. Next, I like to apply a neutral eyeshadow, so that the eyeliner has something to ';hold onto.'; Then, I apply the eyeliner. Finally, I like to apply a bit of eyeshadow in a shade similar to the eyeliner to ';set'; the liner and allow it to stay put. I also apply eyeshadow beneath my lower lash line to prevent the eyeliner from bleeding down and sticking.

    GOD DARN IT!
If you have hair spray, spray some on your fingers and lightly dab it over your eyeliner. It won't smear at all after that. :)

yess. ive been having the same problem. and then i finally found an eye liner called Revlon Colorstay, in black.. its one of the pencil liners where you twist it up.. try it out.. i love it.
If your willing to spend some money on it try Make-Up For Ever or Stila, both of the brands eyeliner goes on so smooth. If your not willing to spend so much try Rimmel London, it works just as good as the others.
    Waterproof eyeliner.
