Can some one tell me were eye liner is suppose to be worn, on the eye lid or under the eye... ?

The purpose of eyeliner is to make your eyelashes look thicker, thus defining the eye. Eyeliner goes right at the roots of the lashes on the upper lid. Liquid liner will give a hard defined line which is very dramatic, but appears overdone for every day. Use a pencil liner in a color close to your lashes and ';push'; small dots of color between your lashes. This will give the most natural look while defining your eye. You may do the same to your lower lid, starting at the outer corner and stopping when you reach the outer edge of your iris. It should be very subtle, otherwise it looks like you drew a hard line under your eye. Don't line the entire under lash area unless you are going for a very dramatic look. In many cases it can make your eye look smaller, ';framed'; as it were, in a dark case.


Never put liner on the soft skin right above your lower lashes. The chemicals are more easily absorbed into your body and can irritate the delicate membrane or your eye.


Always remember to wipe your liner with a piece of toilet tissue after each use before recapping it to remove some of the bacteria and dead skin cells it has picked up. Do the same with your mascara brush, and always throw away these products after 3 months to avoid possible eye infection from bacterial growth.

eye liner on the top (smudged in with the lashes) will cause your eyes to look larger, under the eye (under the lower lashes) most often is best with color liner and is for a more dramatic look, and dark liner should be used right above the lower lashes to darken the look of your eyesCan some one tell me were eye liner is suppose to be worn, on the eye lid or under the eye... ?
I use a thin line on the top eye lids and make it blend with the mascara if your wearing any..


under the eye makes it look more dark and dramatic :)
If you are using liquid eye liner it should be worn on your top lash line, and if you are using a pencil eye liner it can be worn on your upper lash line or the bottom lash line.
You can wear it on the bottom of your eye either under or on, and on the top of your eyelid. Depends on how dramatic you want it to look.
It can be worn on top or bottom,


however you like to wear it!
