What is the best way to apply eye liner to your top lid?

i have been trying everyday to put eye liner on my top lid but i always seem to mess up. either i screw up the line im drawing or i make it to high where your eye lid is. please help to find the best way for me to put it on.What is the best way to apply eye liner to your top lid?
look down into a mirror and I love using a small angled brush, like the MAC 266. Allows me to control the liner better, esp for gel liners!!What is the best way to apply eye liner to your top lid?
Pull the outer edge of your eye (Making an 'Asian eye') and trace along your top eyelashes, in a pencil eyeliner. I suggest going over your pencil liner with a liquid eyeliner. It takes practice to get use to both liquid eyeliner and applying an eyeliner to your top lid. Both can be difficult and tricky. Search eyeliner tutorials on YouTube. I'm sure there will be one up to help you.
the best way to do this is you must get a liquid eyeliner that has a thick, felt tip applicator. The liquid eyeliner with the very thin applicators suck and it takes you longer to apply. This also works with regular eye pencil but that doesn't show up dark enough for me. But yeah, go with the thick tip applicator.
for right-handed ppl: stretch the eyelid out on ur right eye n draw the line close to the lashline, starting from the inner corner to the outer edge. then slowly thicken the line (thin at the inner corner, getting a bit thicker at the outer edge). then do the same with ur left eye, except draw the line starting from the outer edge to the inner corner. slowly thicken this line as well.





for lefties: line ur left eye first, using the same technique as right-handed ppl use on their rite eye (see above). then line ur right eye (using the second technique - above).


p.s. its usually easier to line the eye closest to the hand that u use to write. it gives ppl more confidence so that they can draw a good line on the other eye.

i know what u mean. what i do is i put the eye liner on my lid and i dont worry too much about how straight or good it looks because i then Shadow my lids with a dark brown. i use a brush to work it in. My eyes end up looking kinda smokey and its really cute and sexy. sometimes i cover it up with shimmer.
It's important to go slowly and carefully when applying an eyeliner pencil. It takes practice, but once you do it enough you should get the hang of it. Then you will be able to draw either a thick or thin line. Patience and practice.
It's really not just one way. Every woman has her own way, but it takes a lot of practice. Usually a pointy eye liner might help. But if you don't want to wait to learn by yourself, ask somebody else to do it for you.
well i only put it on the bottom i never put it on the top, but I'd think it would be easier to look away from where your applying the eyeliner. but don't poke your eye! (just kiddin') good luck.
Use a felt tip liquid liner!! They are the best!
you should look down when you put it on that always helps me. :)
