How do you put on top eye liner (as in on ur eyelid?)?

wenever i attempt to do it it always goes wonky and doesnt look rightHow do you put on top eye liner (as in on ur eyelid?)?
Apply a line of it and then smudge with a Q-tip. It softens the line, making it look more natural, and makes it inconsequential if you applied it 'straight' or notHow do you put on top eye liner (as in on ur eyelid?)?
What I do is I use eyeshadow (whatever color you want, I use the Barry M pots of dazzle dust, they come in some amazing colirs www.barrymcom )

I get a thin brush %26amp; paint a line of the powder along the top lash, its easier to fix if you make a mistake, the line is softer %26amp; you can use whateverclor you want.

Good luck:)
Liquid eyeliner is best. Superdrug 2true one is very good. Start from the 'flick' end of the eye and come inwards its actually easier to do it that way and you have more control of how much 'flick' you want on the outside part. Hope that makes sense. Personally I think using a liquid one means less drag on the eyelids (which are quite delicate) than a pencil.
Hallooo.. Okay same problem with me at first! Yeah, its practise, but also it could the eyeliner. At first I couldnt do it, but then I tried one with a brush and it worked perfectly. So try different makes.

Just close the eye you want to do first, and then hold it down it one hand so you have the firm grip, and then slowly draw a line.

use pencil eyeliner and apply it nea ur top eyelash bottem and dont press too hard cos it will only hurt you. It stings at first but dont worry you will get used to it
well this is what i do and it works, (my art skills are totally crap aswel) draw a thin line as close to ur lashes as u can, take ur time, do it bit by bit if you hav to, afterwards, whatever smudges u made or if its too thick wipe away at it with a dump cotton bud, trust me it'l help shape the eyeliner the way u want it!! good luck
you need to pull the eyelid down and then draw with a teady hand. It is tricky.
it's tough but after a few tries you should get it right!

(try wetting the tip of the eyeliner so it goes on smoother, that's what i do)

also if you can't quite master it you could use black eyeshadow instead

just apply the eye shadow where you would with the top eyeliner, its softer and it doesn't show if you make a mistake!

good luck

its really easy u just hold ur lid outward so it would be easy to glide the pencil then u start to draw the line as close to the eyelashes it creates more of a natural look the thicker u make it the more dramatic it looks i normally go 3/4 across the eye because i read in a seventeen mag. that if u go all the way across it makes ur eyes look smaller
pull the side nearest your ears towards your ears

try and get the liner as close to your lashes as possible..

it will take some practice

but after a while you'll get to grips with it :)
when i do that i pull my eye narrow and do it very fastt and wuick so i dont mess upp then i smudge it with a Q-tip or my fingerr, but i do not recomend doing it with black eyeliner, brown or bluee
From experience, using a liquid eyeliner on the top usually looks more messy and takes longer to get right than using a soft eyeliner pencil.

Lean on a surface, close your eye and draw a line along the top lid with your pencil. You can go over it to make it thicker.
kind of half close your eyes and rest your hand on your cheekbone

also have some tissue handy as it rarely goes on equally on both eyes

practise makes perfect!

:]
i find the easiest way is with a small angled brush.

try to find one that looks similar to this- http://i.maccosmetics.co.uk/images/produ鈥?/a>

i start at the outside corner and work inward to the middle of the lid in small strokes.
It helps actually using a pencil that goes on smooth, some dont and its harder that way.
use a liquid liner and put a thin line on top of your eye lashes. keep adding more thin lines till its as thik as you want.

this way will prevent most mistakes
