How can i apply eye-liner on my top eye-lid?

How can i apply eye-liner on my top eye-lid? I need help! because it goes all over the placeHow can i apply eye-liner on my top eye-lid?
It's kind of tricky to put eye-liner on your top lids, and it takes practice before you can master it.

I use a pencil-eyeliner so my tecnique might be a little different than yours.

Using a soft pencil (not the kind that you have to sharpen, but you ';twist'; them up), simply start near your finger and make small short little strokes close to my lash line. By making short little lines, you are not so focused on the challenge of making one big straight line. If you have an eyeshadow brush(or a q-tip), use it afterword to soften the line for a smokey look: this will smooth out any imperfections. How can i apply eye-liner on my top eye-lid?
Sure but why on earth would you?

Your eyeliner goes all over the place because your eye lids are oily. Get yourself an eyeshadow base. CVS carries one by Lumene. Apply a very tiny amount to your entire eyelid, from your lashes up to your brows (it is colorless when applied). After about a minute, apply a very light dusting of regular face powder. Then, apply your shadow, liner, and mascara as normal. The eye base and the powder help absorb the excess oil so liner and such doesn't wear off as quickly.
Hey there, well I use liquid eyeliner, and many people at school have asked me how I got it so neat and that it looks so good and professianal...=]

I never used pencil liner on my top lids, but I always use liquids. Pencils are easier to handle, whilst liquids can be trickery. But trust me, you will get it.

The first thing you should do is to sit in a place that you find comfortable, facing a window or a light where you can see what you are doing. Open the bottle of the liquid liner, and wipe off some of the excess on teh inner rim of teh neck of the bottle. Next, start doing little strokes at the inner rim of your eye where it starts. Then line the whole of your lash line. It doesnt have to be neat now. Then neaten it up . Place the brush tips handle in your thumb and forefinger, and rest that hand on your cheek. Gently drag the brush tip along.Finish at the end of your eyelid.

Let your eye lid drycarefully before squeezing them shut, and try not to sneeze!

There isnt any need to pull your eyelid, as my eyeliner looks perfect and I find that pulling it can make the line look wonky.

Try practising to get it neat in the way I have said before experimenting with flicks. Try to do flicks liek Alexa Chung, that is how mine look.

Trust me, you will get there, apply it every day and practise and you will get there.

Good luck on becoming ';the girl with the kohl rimmed eyes';!
well, it really depends on what type of eyeliner you use. most important is PRACTICE. I'm not kidding. I used to wear eyeliner all the time at home on the weekends just so i could practice.

pencil: i don't use the ones you sharpen, just the twist ups. i always start at the inner corner of the eye and just draw as close to the eyelid as possible. pencil is pretty straightforward, it's not that difficult

liquid: the brush for my liquid eyeliner is thick at the base and then tapers at the end. so, i place the eyeliner brush flat against my eye and then i push the eyeliner brush against my lid, lift the brush, and then push it again. like a series of connected dots, if that makes any sense. this way allows for an line that is evenly thick.

i've also found that if you pull the outer corner of your top lid out to the side (kind of make ur top lid into ';asian eyes';) it flattens the lashline out so all you have to do is draw a straight line and when you let go, the eyeliner is in the sahpe of your eye

for the outer corner i usually just leave my eyes open and draw

but my best advice, is just practice.

oh yea, and put some lotion on a q-tip to correct any mistakes
When i apply upper eyelid eyeliner, i shut the eye being worked on, and pull it out to make sure its tight (kind of like you're making japanese eyes--no disrespect--). When it's tight, i lightly trace along the lash line. If you want darker results, trace again and again until you have what you want.
if you are applying a thick pencil liner then stop doing so and use liquid liner. But if you just want a little tint on your eye lash line then make sure your pencil liner is sharp and very lightly and slowy draw a line by filling in the gaps on your eye lash line.
hold your eye lid at the corner like pull it a bit, then draw a line from inside your eye to outside :) i use liquid eyeliner and its much easier, lasts longer and looks better than pencil !

keep it pencil on the bottom tho, looks disasterous with liquid haha.
i do it A LOT DIFFERENT then the ones below. i life up my eye lid and put it on the water line, just dont ppoke ur eye!

and then a i pull my eye lid with my eye closed and then i basically, put it on my lashes, and then continue on the other eye
start in the inner part of your eye and get as close to the end as you can get, sometimes you can even start almost to the end. and do small small strokes until you get there. not one stroke do many!
